We’re excited to be at Depot, Lewes for the 10th edition of the Women Over 50 Film Festival, on Saturday 21 September.
At WOFFF24 at Depot we’re screening 22 award-winning films as chosen by our jury – plus others specially curated for the day. We also host an ‘In Conversation’ event in which founder of Bechdel Test Fest, London’s feminist film festival, Corrina Antrobus talks with national treasure, actor and writer Thelma Barlow, about her career starring in some of the UK’s best-loved TV shows, Dinnerladies and Coronation Street.
Meanwhile, WOFFF24 Online, runs from 7 September to 7 October. Our online festival platform hosts 55 amazing short films, along with an online lecture by Dr Vicky Ball from De Montfort University called ‘Women over 50 and Television Drama’ exploring the places and spaces offered to women over 50 in TV fiction from the 1960s until now.
