At Women Over 50 Film Festival we celebrate the work of older women on both sides of the camera. We look to them to drive our stories – as film-makers and performers.
We were delighted to collaborate with performance poet Leah Thorn and visual artist Veronica Slater to bring more older women’s voices to the fore during WOFFF17 which took place 14 – 17 September.
A film by Claire Unsworth of Leah Thorn’s poem WOFFF: A Treatment for Women Over 50 opened this year’s festival.
Brighton-based Veronica Slater exhibited ‘CARAVAN to Castles’ a selection of images from two bodies of work made while she was living and working on the Isle of Mull in Scotland. Veronica’s work was on show at Brighton University and ran throughout WOFFF17.
