Everything you need to know about WOFFF21

The Women Over 50 Film Festival returns this September, and here’s a handy guide of everything you need to know about WOFFF21.

When: 25 September – 2 October 2021.

Where: Online and at Depot, Lewes an independent cinema that has been our home in recent years.

What: 57 short films made by or about women over 50, submitted by filmmakers from all over the world.

Why: Representation matters! We want to see more older women on screen, behind the camera and in major decision making positions in the film industry.

Tickets: You can get a Festival Pass for £20 (until 5 September, after which it will be £25) – which will give you access to all the films online from 25 September – 2 October. Concessions are available. Buy tickets here.

If you’d like to attend WOFFF21 online and would benefit from some support with the cost of the festival pass, get in touch with us via email info@wofff.co.uk and we may be able to allocate you a complimentary festival pass.

Filmmaker Awards: On Saturday 2 October, we host our annual awards programme. Categories include best animation, best drama, best documentary, best experimental film, best student film, best short script and the audience choice award.

TENA Ageless Prize: The awards will feature the inaugural WOFFF TENA Ageless Prize, which is presented to scriptwriters whose short scripts best reflect the TENA theme of “our bodies change but why should we?”.
